Internship Program:
Seven Bridges Radio provides internship training for individuals who have a desire to attain employment in the broadcasting industry. The intern program is extended to college level students who may obtain credit for time spent learning the trade at the WJXL studios and on its promotional events. It is also available to post-graduates who are looking for a way to ‘get their foot in the door.’
In the past year WJXL hosted students from the University of North Florida, Florida State University, the US Army, University of Phoenix, Xavier University, and several post-graduates. Areas of training include on-air preparation, broadcasting technique, copy writing, public affairs, promotions and production. The program occasionally leads to employment opportunities, including in March and August of 2012.
